No that material is called Diamond Era, it's a lightweight but still sturdy mesh material meant to absorb sweat better and keep heads cooler with the idea that, as spring training caps, these caps will be worn under direct sunlight more often. All teams will have this material. Some of these gimmicky performance level materials aren't worth much but Diamond Era is actually pretty good. I have a cap of it and its great. MLB used it for spring training caps from 2013-2017 but then switched to Prolight in 2018 and it was sooo bad I'm not surprised they switched back to Diamond Era so fast. Prolight was supposed to be lighter weight than Diamond Era but it was so thin and the sweat showed so much it was horrible. Diamond Era absorbs sweat but seemingly hides it as well, big difference.
