I think this guy has a great point. The amount of money either being eaten by the Marlins or being picked up by the other team can greatly change any deal. The money is almost like "another player" in the deal and can't be brushed aside when discussing any potential deals...

And of course the biggest question of all, would Stanton waive his NTC to go to a team that had a worse record than Miami did in 2017?

The Giants have bounced back from rough years to win a World Series. They can be World Series contenders again. Adding Stanton and a healthy Bumgarner could help...

im not against trading Stanton only IF the trade partner is LA who will be the most desperate as they were close this year, and wait for it.... a guy named Puig comes back our way with some prospects included. LA is one of the only team who can afford to do this and not feel a thing.

Any team that takes the contract isn't sending anything of value back.
