Anyone else find it interesting that Nasim Nunez, this year's 2nd round pick, is playing 2B in his time with Batavia????

That is certainly a function of his being added to the roster just for the playoffs. They already had a plus-defensive starting SS (Chris Torres), so it probably wouldn't sit right with the players involved if 19-year-old Naz comes up from Rookie ball to displace their starting SS.

Having seen him play, I can say that Naz is either currently or will be soon the best defender in minor league baseball. He's not permanently moving to 2B any time soon. Or ever.

But Chris Torres is with clinton not Batavia...but none the less I understand your point and by all accounts read I agree with you that Nunez will be a gem with the glove.

Yes, sorry, Dalvy Rosario (yet another plus defensive SS). Had Lumberkings on the brain.

I think we all do with their run to the playoffs.....one thing the fish have is plenty of SS with Jazz, Chris, Dalvy and Nasim oh and can’t forget Ian Lewis also
