Could or should the Marlins try and surpass this offer? @DTrain?
October 1, 20195 yr When this news was revealed anyway, I think Rendon has already been kicked this offer probably. If you really want to sign it, just sign and announce it. But it won't.
October 1, 20195 yr This is a tough one. I want them to spend and I like Rendon but we also have to be realistic longterm. They will never have a payroll like the Dodgers or Red Sox do. That means there are a limited amount of guys we can hand out 30 mil plus a year deals to. Do we want to lock one of those limited deals down to Rendon for 7+ years?
