SonOfJack 2,585
I try for one gallon each day in addition to a cup of coffee in the morning. I drink nothing else.
SongInTheAir 424
At least 2 liters, I take a 1 L Nalgene bottle with me to work every day, finish it by lunch, fill it up again, then finish the rest usually on my way home. Then I'll have some more water here and there throughout the evening. A bit more or less on weekends depending on whether I'm playing softball/hiking or just lounging around at home. Michael 2,415
I've got a 24 ounce cup that I just continuously fill so I'd say I get over a gallon daily nowadays.
FishFan95 703
I have a 2.2 liter jug that I usually finish over the course of the day and then sum. I also have coffee and occasionally will drink some OJ or V8 fusion juice.

SonOfJack 2,585
So @SongInTheAir doesn't actually drink much.
SongInTheAir 424
So @SongInTheAir doesn't actually drink much. Nah, I should be drinking a bit more. I mean, 3.7 liters is the recommended intake of fluids in a day, and I do drink a soda every few days or a juice here and there. I'm not drinking just water throughout the day. All that said, I should probably drink an extra bottle's worth of water each day.

SirFishFan 455
I usually drink 1 gallon a day. One advice that I have seen some different doctors suggest is to take your bodyweight, divide it in half, and then drink at least that number in ounces for an optimal amount. For example, if someone weighs 200 pounds then ideally drink at least 100 ounces (12.5 cups) a day for optimal hydration. I usually round up to a gallon, especially when I exercise, you will actually need a bit more, so I would say 1 gallon a day is a good amount for most people each day. That's pretty much exactly what I have been doing for some weeks now, although I stopped adding sugar to my coffee, just drink it plain, no milk, no sugar, so it's a little boring, but probably a better choice for me in the long run, and actually, after a few days I got used to it. 😂

I stopped adding sugar to my coffee a long time ago and don't miss it, but I need a little milk in there. Not too much but a bit, it is 2 percent milk though.

Although, sometimes my stomach doesn't handle milk too well, it's weird, sometimes I can drink it fine, and sometimes not. I've tried with almond/soy milk, doesn't do the trick for me, so I just end up drinking it plain. 😂
