Admin
According to Craig Mish of Sirius XM, Marlins CEO Derek Jeter will forgo his salary indefinitely. In addition, members of the organization's executive team will face paycuts. It appears that some other measures could take place as the team evaluates where they stand during the worldwide pandemic. Jeter's decision is partially a symbolic one, though it could kick the can down the road a bit in terms of making more immediate cuts. Mish hears that Jeter informed the team's baseball operations staff on Monday that they will receive their full pay through at least May 31. That might not be the case everywhere, though. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred will allow MLB teams to furlough employees or reduce their pay beginning May 1 while the season remains on hold.
