Potential Big MLB Rule Changes

Recommended Posts

So apparently a change they have made.....

The DL (disabled list) will now be called the "injured list" because DL offended people apparently.

Changing mound distance. Another stupid idea. If anything they should raise the mound.

Raise it to 24 inches. I want to see breaking pitches get even more stupidly ridiculous. League-wide ERA 0.95. Marlins last in ERA at 1.50.

Unbelievable. Even the DL is becoming PC.

The term disabled has many uses and use of the word does not automatically mean you are talking about people with disabilities.

If my car is unable to be driven because of a flat tire then it has been disabled.

If I unplug my router my internet connection has been disabled.

Baseball players being put on a list because they are unable to physically participate in games is not an insult to people with disabilities and or handicaps and it does not imply that disabled people can not play sports.

Fuck off.

I could definitely see the DH for 2020.  Not a chance for 2019.

Ole Das disagrees so I’m not sure about that.

This is great news. Certain rules don’t need to be changed. If you want to speed up the game, pitch clocks aren’t a bad idea. Didn’t they already shorten the amount of time between innings also.
