Marlins season paused following positive COVID tests

Recommended Posts

The Marlins have been hyping up roster depth, "layering" talent at every level. This week is gonna test that but if so then maybe this "replacement team" won't be so bad.

Marlins felt too comfortable in Atlanta, left the hotel for coffee and clothes but nothing like clubs or bars. Didn't wear masks enough, including coaches. Still can't prove where they got it from. Protocols have been addressed moving forward.

Considering how long it takes for the virus to take effect and to show up positive and incubation etc I'm still not convinced the 2 players who broke protocol were the spreaders since the first positive test came less than 48 hours later.

There is a good bit of speculation that Alfaro was the super-spreader.

Think about all the pitchers who got sick, too. Granted, it could have just as easily been a pitcher, of course, but Alfaro got nabbed first and then the cascade came upon us.

Makes sense. Would love to know if he was one of the ones who went out though.

People will believe whatever they wanna believe no matter who says it or where it came from.

Some schmuck says "I think this..." and people believe it.

Someone else says "2 investigations were done and this is what we found..." and people call him a liar.

People believe whichever story they want to be true even when evidence makes one more true than the other.

Morons.

It is possible.

I'm unsure if we'll find out that answer until probably after the season. If ever.

Really not calling up many prospects at all. Mostly the new signings and that layer of depth guys who were next in line anyways. Not gonna rush anyone over this. Smart.
