9/20: Nationals at Marlins, Game 2

Magic numbers (team(s)):

Playoffs: 7 (MIL+/SF+/PHI*)

Division 2nd place: 7 (PHI*)

Division 1st place: 11 (ATL+)

Games left: 8

Despite a higher magic number to win the east than games left the Marlins still control their destiny since they play Atlanta 4 more times.

* = Marlins clinched the tiebreaker

+ = Marlins lead the tiebreaker

- = other team leads the tiebreaker

-x = other team clinched the tiebreaker

Note that the magic numbers posted assume all respective teams play 60 games.

I don't know if I'm in the right health for a Marlins playoff run.

That last couple of innings in game 1 my heart was racing, my hands were shaking and I'm pretty sure I shit myself more than once.

I'm not changing my underwear though because the win means it's now my lucky underwear and I'll need them for game 2.

If we win game 2, you're wearing them all week!

That 4 game series will decide that most likely.

Certainly. Assuming the Braves hold off the Mets and the Marlins win game 2, then a split of the 4 would give the tiebreaker to the Marlins. Although it will make a tie hard to pull off with the Braves up by 2 with 3 to go.

It’s ok, we’re gonna win 3 of 4. Maybe even sweep.
