Trade Dickerson for All Star Level Relief Pitcher(s). Move Rojas to third, Jazz to SS, Berti to 2B, Aguilar/Cooper to 1B. Move Brian Anderson to RF. Have: 1B - Aguilar/Cooper 2B - Berti SS - Jazz 3B - Rojas LF - Brinson CF - Marte RF - BA 😂 I think that makes sense, but I'd replace Berti with Isan, and make Berti our utility guy. Maybe give Brinson another shot, but Monte needs significant playing time next year. Once Marte walks next year, we would have to slide either Monte or Bleday in the OF. Then what about Lewin Diaz? I guess he factors in once Aguilar walks. EDIT: on second thought, you could keep Monte down for another year, give Brinson a full year to prove himself and then slide Monte in after Marte walks. marlins_09 56
I think you’re going to see the FO shake up the roster a little bit going into next year. It’s clear they really like Lewin. He doesn’t have a path to playing next year with Coop/Aguilar, and neither are really permanent pieces. There’s also an obvious question mark at catcher. They’ll make that a priority to get solved given the emphasis on building through pitching. Not sure who and when, but I anticipate a few trades rather than trying to fill holes through free agency Edited October 8, 2020 by marlins_09
SongInTheAir 424
I don't like moving Brian Anderson to the OF. He's so good at 3B, and we have decent enough outfield depth. We need to stop messing with his defense, keep him at 3B, and sign him to a short extension.
canada-marlin24 62
One blown lead, one close loss and one blowout. Nice combo.

Isan and Jazz both need a good look before you give up on either. Has Rojas ever played OF?

I hope I'm wrong, but I absolutely would not move Anderson for a guy like Isan.

He's done well in the minors and hasn't gotten a long enough look in the majors. I think you need to give it to him, and he can only really play 2B. The Marlins have given up or undervalued the wrong players in recent memory, and they just can't repeat it with a power hitting 2B. If that means Anderson has to play OF for another year, I think it's worth it.

Isan, Monte, Brinson, Lewin, Jesus Sanchez, Jazz, and eventually Bleday... we need to figure out if they can be solid everyday players or move on... tough not having minor leagues to prep them this year
