5/13 - Marlins chose well against Arizona yesterday, will they choose to win again against them?

His ERA dropping fast

I know that @Michael will disagree, but I still think that the Marlins should consider an upgrade at 3B in the offseason. You’re not going to find many better defenders at 3B than BA, but probably could find a solid reliable bat with slightly worse defense but that is still a worth the trade off. Unless of course BA, gets it together and starts batting like a pro, otherwise, if he keeps this up, Marlins might not hang on to him after this season.

Why exactly would I disagree? I'm pro-team improvement. If he's not going to perform, get someone who will. (And/or send him down, he's got the options!)

I was all in on trading Pablo in the off-season if a trade materialized, for example.

ERA doesnt mean anything these days. He has an outstanding flARple++ rating of -2.9

Hey! flARple++ is such an underrated stat.

Back in 1986 all that mattered was ERA and Strikeouts and walks as far as you were concerned.

And for hitting, Batting Average and Home runs and RBI. Kept things simple. 😂

Pablo has been better than last year so it looks good that we didn't move him... yet.

I will also note that Pablo is the last piece left of the Charles Johnson trade tree. So trading him would keep that alive for now.

Lots of swings at pitches not in the zone

He was involved with CJ in the 2nd Charles Johnson trade tree, but I'm mostly referencing the original one.

You and I might just get along after all. I know I mentioned it a few starts ago but I get a very Nolasco-esque vibe from Pablo. I think you agreed you could kinda see it too? He should fetch a nice prospect though and I'd be ok with that. My biggest knock on BA is that he's always been super hot or super cold. He gets red hot for a week or so and then is stone cold for 2 weeks or so ( aside from this season where he's just seemingly lost his ability to hit). Y'all are right in that he'd be a pretty good 7 hitter but he's been placed on a pedestal as a 3-4 guy because the team has been shitty for a few years. He's definitely not that guy

Great going to need another run 😭😭😭

Given Locastro's speed, that was closer than I thought it would be.

Speaking of Nolasco, he is another member of a Charles Johnson trade tree. Although the 2nd one, unlike Pablo. And that trade tree is officially dead.

Okay how bout a crooked number

That’s why I said you would disagree, since the last time I said that, you didn’t seem to be a fan of that idea. 😂

Also speaking of Nolasco, did he ever officially retire?
