Time to even the series!

Pitching matchup:

Marlins: Trevor J'Daniel Rogers (2.02 ERA)

Cardinals: Hwang Hyun Kim (4.05 ERA)

Stats to note:

With Jesús Sánchez getting the call, let's reflect on another rookie with less than stellar numbers last year. Trevor Rogers finished his rookie season part I with a 6.11 ERA,1.607 WHIP, 10.3 H/9, 1.6 HR/9, and 10.0 BB% in 28 innings. He turned it around this year with a 2.02 ERA, 1.057 WHIP, 6.5 H/9, 0.5 HR/9, and a 8.4 BB%. Here's to hoping that like Rogers, Sánchez can improve on last year's struggles.

Prior to last night's ballgame, the Cardinals were struggling mightily with the bats. In the month of June they are 10th in the NL with a .226 batting average and 13th with a .649 OPS, both marks behind the Marlins. They rank 12th with an 83 wRC+ (17 % worse than average) in the month as well. Look for Trev to put the Cardinal bats off balance again.

Great insight on the comparison between Jesus Sanchez/Trevor Rogers between 2020-2021. Didn’t Jazz also have a bad 2020 and is having a much better 21?

Yeah. Since it was Trev's turn in the rotation, I figured it made sense to make the comparison with him. But, Jazz works too.
