Pretty sure it's an all of nothing bet. You can't just have a piece of the winnings...

Its amazing how much the Marlins coverage seems to have improved with these new guys after Clark Spencer (who basically mailed it in long ago) retired, and well of course there is Scoop.

Imagine if they can replace him with pretty much anyone.

Some people said the Marlins got NOTHING for Ozuna. Now all of the sudden one of the players was untouchable and a Cy Young Award winner because he's had a good season.

If those people had any consistency they'd be saying "Oh thank God the Marlins were able to at least trade one of those nobodys from the Cardinals to get the Dbacks #1 prospect! None of those Cardinals guys were ever gonna amount to anything anyways"

Jarred Cosart, is that you?

That reminds me. We should sign Jarred Cosart. He had a 2.39 ERA in his first 10 starts with the Marlins. That's an even longer track record and better ERA than future Cy Young pitcher Zac Gallen. I can't seem to remember how well he did after that so I will assume he has done just as good since.

Last year Zac Gallen struggled in the first half in his first trip to AAA (4.24 ERA in 16 starts) before dominating in the second half and activating God-mode this year. Meanwhile Chisholm struggled in the first half of this season in his first trip to AA, but has been fantastic in the second half with a slash line of .284/.344/.527.

If he activates God-mode next season then the Marlins should be hailed as geniuses in this deal.

Like I said the other day, everyone here would have been thrilled by this trade before the season. Three months shouldn't change that.
