TaiwanMarlins
After the impact of the shortened 2020 season, I believe MLB and MLBPA just not stupid enough to have a lockout in the 2022 and they better not try to test the patience and loyalty of the baseball fans. Just like they were stupid enough to not build the goodwill of being the only/first sport back last season, I too believe they'd be stupid enough to let it get to that.
Michael
And it will be over the smallest of things. And it will be very public because of finger pointing. And it will get very ugly. And in the end, they'll get something done but it won't be optimal.

Das Texan
I'm not convinced any games would be lost as of yet. But spring training probably gets delayed at the very least. Owners are assholes. If players dont take a hard line stance, owners will keep on pushing things more and more to keep players down and make them essentially indentured servants for longer. But players are assholes as well allowing owners to fuck over minor leaguers for as long as they have, BUT they arent members of the union so... Fuck them? TaiwanMarlins
If a lockout is can not avoid everytime when the old CBA expired, why not just have a CBA with valid period of 100 years !? it's really very frustrated.

Maybe 10 year periods could actually be feasible. 5 year deals are a little short.

rmc523
This is IMPOSSIBLE. @Das Texan said no animosity from either side in 2020 would carry over to CBA negotiations. 1

Michael
May be a will and desire to agree but also a will and desire to publicly sling as much mud as possible at the other side until the agreement is made.
