Maybe the win streak starts tomorrow...

they're simply not serious about winning if they let Weathers start any games this season.  Gayle Weathers would probably be a less-scream inducing option at this point with how awful Ryan Weathers is.  HATED this deadline pickup because I knew instead of stashing him for the offseason for Mel to work with him they'd run him out there in meaningful games.

Yeah, I don't understand what they've been doing.  It's almost like they're actively trying to not win.   And I puposely didn't say lose, because I don't think they're trying to lose, but they're not putting their best foot forward to win, either...

This is actually well said.  They're not trying to lose but they're not trying to win.

Luzardo is struggling but I don't see any problem with Cueto. With Cueto you just know you'll have to score some runs, he's not pitching any shutouts but he's manageable enough that he's not giving up 6 runs in the first inning like Luzardo suddenly is doing.

Weathers should be shelved and sent to live with Mel until Opening Day 2024 and see if he learns something through that.

I'd limit Cueto to 5 innings regardless of how he's doing but he seems to be competent enough to get those 5 innings of work in since his return from the IL - the 6th inning seems to be when the wheels fall off each time for him.

Agreed. He's going 6 innings and giving up 3-4 runs
