Random topic but anyone know anything about old cars? My in laws have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma and were trying to replace the water gasket so we had to order one from a website but I'm not convinced we got the right part. Feels like there was a mixup, it doesn't even look right. Anyone know what an authentic Toyota Tacoma 1997 water gasket would look like?

Water Pump gasket? When I worked at Toyota mechanics used to buy their own high temprature gasket maker and seal the motor using that. Its like Caulking, just put a strip around the part to seal, and slap it on and tighten it- wait a few hours for it to harden properly.

So admit it, did you know or not

I can’t believe you’re still not sure. 😂

Apparently this is an old well known joke on the internets.

What are the chances of @SilverBullet‘s in laws just happening to have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma and need a water pump gasket and ordered one but not sure if it’s the right part so he’s asking us if we know what one looks like.. when if he really wanted to know what one looked like for realz he could have googled it and not spent 4.5 minutes creating a thread asking us if we know what one looks like so we could all go to google and search and see that and completing his joke on us.

Damn I fell for the joke again.. Shit.
