With the Marlins eliminated (UNACCEPTABLE) I was actually wondering this morning if I'll even watch the World Series this year.

Kinda feeling drained, although in a good way, by the Marlins season. 

I'll keep up but not sure if I'll actually sit and watch full games the rest of this postseason.

Nah.  I haven't watched any playoffs in the last several years.

 

I've always been a "watch my team not the sport" sort of guy, but baseball was the one sport that I'd watch some of the world series.   I just haven't been inclined to watch it though, and I don't plan on it this year either.

Without having a horse in the race, it's just honestly a waste of time for me.  The only other exception is if I'm invited to a Super Bowl party, but that's because of the party rather than watching the game.

same here. if my team isn't in it...i don't give a shit anymore.  I've been like that for quite some time now.  I think the last time i had any actual title game on was whatever year it was the Cubs won - but I was working a night shift out of my house and just doing data entry so it was more background noise than anything. I legit don't give a shit if it's not my team. 

I don't usually watch much of the playoffs including the World Series as it is. But I'm especially not interested in watching this year after the fish were eliminated.  I need a break from watching baseball after that series.

I actually don't think anyone will watch the World Series this year. It will get 0 viewers on television and the stadiums will be empty except for the players, coaches, other team employees, broadcasters, scouts, and stadium employees. It's going to be weird as hell.

Nah.. I honestly don’t even have enough time for regular season Marlins games much less other teams in the playoffs. The last WS games I watched was in 2021 Astros vs Braves but just because I was hoping the Astros would win. 😂

I seriously have forgotten like 5 times that the Phillies won the WS last year and keep getting surprised everytime I see that they did. That whole post season of 2022 is such a blur to me. 😂 I don’t even remember which teams made it. Not that it even matters. Honestly I don’t even know which teams are still in the playoffs this year besides the Braves and Phillies. Don’t have time and don’t care enough to know.

yep. I've hated the Braves since the 90s.  There's no team in MLB I loathe more. I don't understand how anyone on here could hate another NL East team more than the Braves tbh

Historically I like the Phillies more than the Braves. But this year after the Phillies spanked us in the Wild Card series I would selfishly love for that annoying fan base to get beat up by the Braves. Additionally, if the Braves aren't cheating, then this 2023 team is super impressive and I tip my cap to them for that. But yes this is a short term thing and I'm sure I'll go back to hating the Braves next season.

Meh I don't care if the Phillies beat us this one time. Braves fans are 30x more obnoxious than Phillies fans will ever be.  Would much rather see the Braves get shit all over and not even win one series and then watch the Phillies get knocked out in the NLCS by whomever.

Yeah it's fair in the sense that seems to happen every year with top seeds that get byes. Happens in the NFL too. Athletes are hardcore routine freaks and when you get a sudden lengthy layoff.... probably f*cks yo shit up.
