Posted April 2, 20241 yr Mostly green with a touch of yellow? All yellow? Some brown spots? Something else? Keep it clean folks, I am speaking of the fruit. I'm looking at you, @Rydawg

April 2, 20241 yr I demand anyone who prefers their bananas heavily spotted to immediately be banned for a minimum of a month. This does not apply if you use them in a smoothie or banana bread, etc - only if we're talking about just having a banana as a snack by itself. I also pay attention to the sticker and look at the origin of the banana. Guatemala has the best overall tasting banana, then Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico is last.

April 2, 20241 yr Very, very little bit of green is fine and a touch of brown is usually OK too. Once the brown becomes really "brown" the banana is past its shelf life and immediately inedible, lest someone decides to prepare banana pudding/bread.
