Sure, there were some skateboard heads around but it wasn't some massive prevalent thing in Tampa like say, SoCal or something. I don't get that at all. It seems very odd. If anything, the brief wrestling clip holds much more meaning to Tampa than skateboarding lol. Hell, rollerblades were more prevalent than skateboarders in Tampa. This looks like Tampa is basically skater punks and graffiti. At least put some strip club references in there damnit.
SilverBullet
This one is bad all around. The design is not good and the concept only caters to one specific community/age group. It doesn't encompass the whole region. I'm in my 40s, I can't imagine wanting to wear skater gear of my favorite team.

The concept doesn't even really make sense as far as encompassing the city. How many people in that region are skateboarders or have any connection to the skateboarding community? It's just a very weird niche thing to target here. This feels like the least effective city connect concept of them all... though not the worst aesthetically. hovertical
I like how these ones look too I just think the whole focus on skateboarding is bizarre. I'd gladly wear this over the God awful ones we have.

I don't hate the look of the jerseys, though the press release seemed to focus more on the background of the picture than actually showing the uniforms - it's just I don't understand the skating connection - it's as if there was a skate park next to the stadium and they looked out the window and said "that's it!" and didn't do any more research. I quickly googled "what is Tampa Bay known for" and looked through at least 5 articles that had 8-10 things each, not one of them mentioned skateboarding at all. If it were me, I'd have gone with a more nautical theme - had the pants be black or dark navy blue, and then had the jersey fade upward from black to light blue (i.e. the depth of the water/bay) and had the Tampa Bay script be like waves (they sort of did that here)
