Thanks for this, being early is one of the reasons I'm now divorced.

I appreciate the optimism on Sandy and Edwards!

Most of those predictions seem about right.

Is Sandy’s 15 wins including the wins he will have on the new team he’s going to?

Should be at least (23). I mean if every starter besides Sandy will have 0 wins and 0 wins for all relievers since all 9 wins on the season will be Sandy starts.

Every single pitcher besides Sandy will have an 0-? Record.

Sandy will probably be like 9-7 by the time he is traded and the Marlins will Lose every single other game on the season.

Quite a creative thinker!

And while I don’t think they will lose 153 games. I could easily see them losing 110+.

I mean last year the White Sox lost 121 games. And I think the Marlins have a real chance of losing more games than that. 😂

I don’t think they’ll trade him. I’m ready to be hurt again

A bonus prediction!

I agree, I don't think he'll be traded

I downgraded my prediction to 69-93 from 71-91.

I truly think this team will nip the '98 squad and finish 57-105

Stowers and mervis made the team, Gillespie and junk are in the rotation and their third game of the year is a bullpen game. They are actively trying to lose as many games as possible this year. There is no way in heck this teams losses doesn’t start with a 1

Edited by pollythewog

They are going to suck this year and I’m prepared for that, however a successful 2 year plan must include all of the following:

1) successful drafts in 2025 and 2026

2) AA/AAA prospects like Ramirez, DDLS, Snelling, Mazur etc being elevated by August with the majority showing promise

3) not trading Sandy

4) successfully developing and trading a few relievers at the deadline/offseason

5) Sandy and Edwards continuing to be elite, Eury returning to form post injury

6) spending some money in the offseason to actually aim to compete in 2026 (still bottom 5-10 payroll but that’s still a big increase)

If all of these happen and we compete to be around .500 in 2026 then we’re in good shape with White, Meyers, Caba, and Head ready to come up late 2026/2027. Not holding my breathe

I still don't understand why we've made zero attempt to sign trade deadline pieces either. I still see no plan aside from trudge along at horrid levels and pocket the money.

aka as usual, the plan is that everything (57 different items) must go right to have a chance at being just ok.
