For the second consecutive year, the Marlins have put themselves behind the eight ball with a plethora of injuries to their pitching staff. 4/5ths of the projected starting rotation will start the year on the injured list with Weathers and Cabrera hoping to come back barring further setbacks, Eury Perez making his return the second half of the year, and Braxton Garrett out all year. The good news, if there is any, is that Sandy Alcantara is making his return from Tommy John and looks like his old self. The big question is how long he will be a Marlin as he is first in line to be traded as Peter Bendix will no doubt be working his rolodex overtime. Max Meyer will be second in line and need to show improvement on last year's performance as well as stay injury free. The rest of the rotation looks like Connor Gillispie, Cal Quantrill, and Valente Bellozo to start the year off.

The prospects look much better and the AAA rotation of Dax Fulton, Robby Snelling, Adam Mazur, Xzavion Curry, and Patrick Monteverde is as good as any in the minors. Below that level, #1 prospect Thomas White should see time in AA, Noble Meyer is still highly regarded and will look to improve his control. Evan Fitterer, Brayan Mendoza, Jacob Miller, Karson Milbrandt, and Eliazar Dishmey are all on the future Marlins radar. Debutantes Aiden May and Grant Shephardson have high hopes from last year's draft.

Sandy and Meyer both looked solid. Bellozo was very mid. Gillispie and Quantrill objectively bad.

Cabrera ready to rehab. Imagine he will take Bellozo's place, although if Gillispie doesn't improve he could shift to bullpen.

Weathers status is a bit murky.

Eury won't be ready until second half.

AAA rotation pretty disappointing. Mazur is the one to watch and the rest of the guys are 4-A guys at best (Junk, Tarnok, Pilar, S. Martinez)

AA should be loaded. Rest of minors will kick off this weekend.
