January 14, 200422 yr I predicted this would happen, hoped it would happen, and now it has. Good hire for the hometown boys, although I would have liked to see them wait and interview Romeo Cronell (sp?) and Charlie Weis from the Patriots, although I did hear they interviewed Cronell once. But overall, I like the hiring from the bears perspective. Although I'm a Cowboys fan, I hope the bears and Lovie do well.

Nobody could coach those overrated jokes that call themselves football players into winners. Jauron was the right guy for the job, and I think Jauron should be a Head Coach in the NFL, in fact I'd trust him at the controls of the Packers. Thats how highly I regard Jauron. The Bears have Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, Brown, A-Train, and Grossman. Thats it. They suck now, and they will always suck. Period. 7-9 is what the Bears do with a good head coach and thats what Lovie will have them at. Here's how the Bears have traditionally selected their starting QB before the game.... "Will the person seating in Section 214, Row 9, Seat 23 please come on down! Your the next QB for da Bears!" The unlucky contestant walks up to the other injured Bears QB (a soccer mom of 34 years old), and she says to him "Good luck behind that O-Line!"
January 16, 200422 yr I'm not a Bear fan Phlub, although I do like them, and all I can say about your comments is I agree with some, disagree with others. The Bears have a LONG way to go before they are going to be good, but they have some young talent, and I think Grossman can play. I think Dick Jauron is a moron, he is the worst coach in terms of talent evaluation that I think i've ever seen. Guys like Tillman, Briggs, and Justin Gage among others would NEVER have seen the field if the sucky players starting ahead of them didn't get hurt. Sherman is a good coach, and I can't believe you'd say you want Dick Jauron. If Jauron came to the Packers, you guys would win about 7 or 8 games. The man CAN'T motivate and CAN'T evaluate talent. With all that said though, the Bears will never achieve consistent success until the McCaskey family sells the team.

FIRE TOM ROSSLEY THOUGH! He deserves to be fired, even if he is a "fine D Coordinator". Anybody who coordinates a d that gives up A 4TH AND 26!! Deserves to be fired, especially when all they had to do to win the game was STOP A 4TH AND 26!! Your D Coordinator deserved his fate. And i'm not sure why you dislike Sherman so much. I think he's a good coach, and he's for sure a MUCH better coach than Dick Jauron. To take a team with a rebuilding defense as far as he did I consider to be a good coaching job, even though they should have beat Philly.
January 16, 200422 yr I only say that Sherman DESERVES to be fired, doesn't exactly mean I want him gone, but I do want him gone. I'll be fine if Sherm stays on with us. But Rossley has to go. Period. Rossley is the worst coach I've ever seen.

Bears are Garbage theer D is ova rated...... there offese, well no O-line, no RB, and Wr's who cant stay healhty if there life depended on it....... what they do have is a Top 3 LB in the game..... and a Qb who has mad skill but he aint gonna achive it all in 1 year..... they need to address alot s***... and i cant even see them beating a Better Packers team next year, a VIKS team with a improved D....... and the Lions who just keep getting better..... and with a healthy James Stewert that will open up the passin Lane for a Bigger Rodgers and Harrintion..... i think they might draft ethier Mike Williams or Admin F...... and look like the BILLS OF 02...... Nice Offese no D..... with the Bears finishing LAST in 04...... just what the bears need is another Defensive coach...... so what was Dave WanSUCK, Dick headed jaron and now this...... Lovie is a an OVA RATED Defensive coach and in my opnion should even be a canidate..... cuz i could think of 10 other coaches in the NFL who are more Qualified and better!!!!!!! nice job SHY TOWN, i knew you would tank ya hiring of new coach not to mention u blew with Nick Saben..... hahahah DA BEARS.....
