February 5, 200422 yr if you havent heard the MARS VOLTA i strongly recommend you do.... selling point: Flea plays bass I don't think Flea's a member.... he just did some work for that one album.
February 5, 200422 yr you guys are nuts. maybe it's an age thing, but Disturbed is terrible. Garbage power chords and a singer who worships himself. Bleah. Compare them to someone like System of a Down or even Korn and it's no contest. Have you ever seen them live? The lead singer's the biggest retard a-hole imaginable. maybe I just haven't listened to enough of them... :banghead

February 5, 200422 yr i don't own particularly like System of a Down either. i still think they're better than Disturbed though. it just seems to be that Disturbed is a carbon copy of something like Godsmack. Which would be fine except they're about 3 years behind.
February 5, 200422 yr well i mean im not hardcore in Disturbed but i like their last 2 cds and i havent seen them live
February 5, 200422 yr Now Joe with a top-5 in your sig like that, I don't see how Disturbed could fit in there. "Well here I come, I'm droppin' plates on your asss biiatch" Wow. How about the Deftones maybe as a substitute? The lyrics are less cringe-worthy. oh & I totally agree with Ravenlord. "Bodies" was the best contribution of the nu-metal genre. Not that there's much to pick from....
February 5, 200422 yr Author Ramp: They only have 2 cds, but I hope they release another one soon And yeah, that Droppin Plates song sucks but songs like Down With The Sickness, Prayer and Remember show real talent
February 5, 200422 yr Hotcorner is right about their performance aspect, any guy who's past stage designs were Concentration Camps, ovens and showers and is dressed like a nazi is not cool.(The Lead Singer is Jewish btw) They did that when their first album came out, I don't know if it's still a part of it.
February 6, 200422 yr Ramp: They only have 2 cds, but I hope they release another one soon And yeah, that Droppin Plates song sucks but songs like Down With The Sickness, Prayer and Remember show real talent shows how much I know.... yea Prayer and Remember are pretty badass I like the 2nd cd, more than the 1st one
February 6, 200422 yr Let's get back to emo damnit :mischief Bah, Emo is the 21st century version of LAte 80's hair bands. All The EMO bands produce almost identical music and almost all the leadsingers look alike or at least style themselves to be. Plus it's coming out of South California. For non fans of EMO, this is great news because after Hair was realized as a farse came some of the greatest bands in modern times.

Their all the same, most of their stuff lyrically is the same and just like Hair Bands, are laughing stocks to all respectable critics.
February 6, 200422 yr tell you of the "major" emo bands??..to be honest with you most of them arent even EMO...i hope you dont mean blink 182, all american rejects, or new found glory because they are NOT emo, much less punk. Well i was in the emo scene a couple of years back when it started, as a drummer for a band, so i've been there. There might be some trends withing the scene and some like you might even say it itself is trendy but there a lot great bands locally and nationwide. Most of the bands coming out of south cali are a strange mix of pop-punk like rufio and most of the drive thru records bands....not EMO. Some sound a like i agree but there are so many more that sound really great and ar far better musicians with incredible live shows and are underground and thats the way i like em.....so w/e ,say what you want about what you see on MTV although im not too into emo anymore, more into hardcore but its all good in the neighborhoooooooood!

NO I don't mean those bands, I despise them much more than The "True" Emo Bands. I don't despise EMO bands, I just don't listen to it. What I meant, is Bands like Story of The Year, YellowCard, Thrice and others. The main reason, I'm not a fan is their starting to control MTV2's rock video's, half the time it's EMO where as my faviorate indy bands and such only get played Sunday Night at Midnight on Subterranium(unless their a major band, they'll be played more often).

I've been a big fan of Thrice although theyre not emo, theyre second album, which came out like 4 years ago is def. hott
February 6, 200422 yr Yea, Carrabba never really fit with Further Seems Forever, but he was great in the early days with The Vacant Andys. They were more of a punk band, not emo, but they had some great songs. You mentioned the Vacant Andy's .... u literally get 1000 points for that. The Andy's rocked boi haha another band im starting to hate Evanescence .... its linking park with a chick, thank god for the mute button
