I just wanted to make a quick comment about everyone bashing Ramon Castro on his pending charges. I think everyone needs to lay off the guy for right now. Some people have some bad sigs, some people refer to the guy as a rapist, etc...The guy is innocent until proven guilty. If he's found guilty, feel free to bash him all you want. I'll be the first, but until then, can we lay off the rape talk and stick to baseball?

Marlins Phenom - I wasn't referring directly to you. I didn't think yours was that bad, I had seen some other tasteless comments referring to Castro as a rapist and just seen some really bad things written about him...

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- An attorney entered an innocent plea Friday for Florida Marlins catcher Ramon Castro, who is charged with raping a woman in a Pittsburgh hotel last summer.

 

Castro, 27, of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, wasn't required to be at his formal arraignment in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court, defense attorney J. Alan "Jerry" Johnson said.

 

A pretrial conference is scheduled for Feb. 6.

Ramon will have a BIG season if not convicted, I honestly believe he is innocent, and agree that he should not be bashed since this is his home and from where he should be receiving love, Castro will be the man, if OJ can get away from murder, am sure if Castro is guilty he can get away with rape, let's hope that all those minimum contracts add to several zero's. Either way, if Castro goes down we have Redmond, he recognizes the staff and can plain out hit, cause he's a line drive hitter, castro is both a line drive hitter, and can pop it over the fence with athority.
