February 11, 200422 yr Huge autograph hound here? :mischief I'll tell you the secrets? :shifty check your PM box giambifan wouldn't mind if you told me... tell me or else... hey, Not that secret but just some advice... -If you want the best seat in the house for autographs at Roger dean get the "grass berm" seats along the RF line, right in back of the Marlins pen. It's great for signatures before, after and sometimes even during the game. Also it's an awesome place for foul balls. - Of course the most obvious tip, get there early. They have a huge grass parking lot about 300 yards from the gates that you pay like 8.00 bucks to park in. But if you want you can park a ways out..and than catch a trolley to the gate for like 2.50. I'm not sure if they do that anymore. - Huge place for players and coaches to go and get a drink after a game sometimes is "Damons" which is right across the street. It's also very popular with the fans after the game as well. I saw Tino Martinez and Jim Edmonds in there last year after a spring workout. So you might wanna check in there after a game. - Also the player exit located on the outside of the stadium, I cant really describe or remember where exactly it is. But you'll find it easily if you look on the Seating Chart or ask a security guard there. AFTER the game a lot of the players exit out through there to get to the parking lot which is not acessible at all at roger dean to the fans.(atleat thats what I heard) But you can catch them right as they come out and they'll sign.
February 11, 200422 yr Yeah, another place to go that I've seen players is Masa's Sagami which is the Japanese restaurant across from the stadium.

February 11, 200422 yr yeh I am going to a couple of games and I am gonna go like two hours before the game. Maybe three.
February 11, 200422 yr yeh I am going to a couple of games and I am gonna go like two hours before the game. Maybe three. Don't bother, because they won't let you into the stadium until the gates open at, I think, 11:30 a.m. for 1:05 game starts. Usually the Marlins are wrapping up BP when the open the gates to the stadium. Plus the players parking lot is gated off and the entrance to the clubhouse is within the gated complex. You can either wait for them by the entrance to the parking lot if they walk by, or just sit in the LF bleachers by the bullpen and see them there as they start to walk out prior to game time. That's where I got all my autographs last year (and I got all but 4 guys on a baseball last year!)
February 11, 200422 yr Thanks for the tips guys. I think it will be more crowded than last year, and maybe a little harder to get any signatures.

Autograph seekers are there when the players arrive in their parking lot. :hat The champ.
February 11, 200422 yr I still think it's gonna be harder this year, because of them winning the World Series. You get a lot of people who, "now become interested in the Marlins", who will show up there.
February 12, 200422 yr Just a tip for those who don't usually show up early most parks won't open the gate until 2 hours before game time. Also the visiting team more times than not will sign more than home team. A nother tip is the first few week days after all the players report and have yet to begin playing spring training games is a great time to get autographs.
February 13, 200422 yr Do most marlins sign by the birm area of Roger Dean? NO! If you want to get Marlins players to sign, you have to stand by the bullpen down the left field line. The Marlins clubhouse is beyond the LF fence, the Cardinals clubhouse is beyond the RF fence. The berm is in RF and the Marlins don't enter or leave the field there. Because it is a shared facility, the Marlins ALWAYS use the 3B/LF dugout/bullpen, whether they're the home or visiting team. If you stand by the bullpen, most players usually just mill about and sign for folks standing along the bullpen wall (which is about 2 1/2 feet high!). Last year Josh Beckett and A.J. Burnett took pictures with my then 2 year old daughter.
