Great win today.

Anybody at the game catch miguel and cesar itzuris joking when miguel was on second on a pitching change? They were pointing to 3rd base and laughing. You could tell they were joking about miggy running thru cox's stop sign yesterday.

As nice a guy as I hear cox is, I really wonder if any player respects him as 3rd base coach. I have seen him make some horrible decisions this year so I wouldn't be surprised. :shifty

Was at the game today and Mota was superb and god do we need him to be something close to this good down the stretch!

Way to go Mota and AA and let's hope this inspires the rest of the bullpen.

Yep. that's called karma!. he was very inconsistent with the strike zone.

Did you see that really low pitch he called when AJ was batting? you could see AJ seething at that one!!!!

I sit in section 145 just above the Marlins dugout. they're really great seats!

Bless me board for I have sinned! I actually thought this was a discussion board. Now I realise I have mortally offended the founding fathers for daring to mention the lack of defense in God's (carlos's) armery.

I will forever cheer from my seat every time I glimpse the great one at first base and only hope I am worthy.

Please don't turn this board into a cubs board where no opinions are justifed only mindless atacks. The marlins deserve better than that.

With the rookie pitchers we have this year like Resop, Olsen, Messenger, Vargas, they NEED stellar defense as well as hitting to support them.

As far as who we get instead for 1st base, If Beinfest could pull it off and he stays healthy, someone like Richie Sexson could be great for us.

Tell me what you guys are smoking if you say his stellar defense is working wonders for us. go on!

I think Delgado offensively is fantastic and by god we've needed him this year but it cannot cancel out the bad defense he has given us.

I might not have posted here much but I am a season ticket holder and I've seen him enough to know he is not our type of player.

We need balanceed players who have a great defense and hopefully some great offense but we can't survive with a Barry bonds type player. We just can't and forgive me for a provocative post as I am usually come here to see opinions and don't post.

So you're saying that his defense is not costing us games????

For all Carlos is at the bat which is great, he is ABSOLUTELY NOT THERE defensively.

We survive on being a great defense. We cannot afford to have a guy at firsat base that bad defensively. It is crucifying us.

Alex made a mistake tonight that was costly but the mistake Carlos made was soul destroying!! We got back to one run behind just to have out chain yanked again.

I remember at least two other balls passing hime tonight that should have been stopped, and where was the stretch for the potential double play that also allowed in another run?

He is not a Marlins type player. We need to undertsand that and let him go. American league is perfect for him. We'll get plenty in return.
