1. Ok, just to clarify.? Most people that don't live in Chicago think that Bartman is hated by all Cubs fans and we all want to kill him, or whatever.? This is not the case at all.? The majority of Cubs fans (like me) feel sorry for what he has had to go through and realize it was not his fault at all.? And it does not help at all when it is constantly brought up by the announcers whenever the Cubs play a nationally televised game.? BTW,here is the thread on this article from northsidebaseball.com, which is the Cubs fan equivelant to this site.? Feel free to come on over there and post, it is a great forum and we have several fans of other teams on there. 848111 Dude, I don't know about the "majority" oc Cubs fans, but if you search for Steve Bartman on the web you will find some pretty sick ideas on how to get revenge for the person who "destroyed the Cubs dreams". Mock pictures of him being part of the JFK assassination and the Hindenburg disaster, forums ridiculing the poor guy, and some other articles comparing him to that stupid curse of the goat. 848190 The pictures and articles you speak of were probably not started by Cubs fans, but rather people who were trying to make fun of the situation or reporters who actually are dumb enough to believe in curses. It is true that right after it happened a lot of people overreacted and blamed it on Steve, but people tend to overreact when a team hasn't won anything in nearly a century and gets that close. The fact is, if you asked every true Cubs fan what they thought of the guy, 90% would tell you it could've happened to anyone and it was actually Gonzo's fault. There are a few idiots who still actually believe it was his fault, but every fanbase has these types. It's like saying every Marlin fan didn't give a damn about them until the '03 playoffs. It's simply not true.
