Technicals in the NCAA and NBA

Featured Replies

If there's any telling difference between the NBA and college hoops it's how they handle technicals.

In college games their are few technicals, and when they are called the coaches and media say that it was a 'turning point of the game.'

In the NBA multiple technicals a game are more common than someone beating Lawrence Frank. When a tech is called it's not even discussed by the coaches or media. For the media they are treated as a point in the game they can interview a celebrity in the stands. And coaches are too afraid to upset their players in post-game press conferences, or they mgiht lose their job.
