Look at the facts. The Miami Dolphins had blackouts in the playoffs TWO YEARS IN A ROW!!! Miami fans are bandwagon. I have been a diehard fan of the Marlins since I was 10. They could build a roof all they like, it won't matter. The Panthers have an excellent arena, very bad in attendance. Before Shaq, the Heat had a brand new arena, once again bottom half in attendance. The BEST thing this franchise could do, in MY opinion, is move. You don't fully comprehend the whole 'lease' aspect of this mess, do you? Actaully, I do. I know all about it, just as much as you and the rest of us do.

This is something that most of you don't want to hear, but I will say it anyways. In MY opinion, the best thing this club could do is to MOVE to a city that would appreciate a team that wins. Sorry guys, but no retractable roof will save this team. As a Floridian, this would hurt me. But as a Marlins fan, this is the best for this team. Miami is not a baseball market. Mr. Loria put out some very good teams the last 3 years, and Miami did not care. They won't care unless it is game 1 of the NLCS. I am rooting for S. Florida to keep the Marlins and average 30 thousand per game, but I know better than to believe that will happen. Rain does not keep fans away, banwagon fans do. The people on this website are not bandwagon fans, but you do know who i'm talking about. We seen them in 97 and in 03. People who just show up out of the blue and all of a sudden have been Marlins fan from the start. Believe it or not, we have a good ownership that wants to win (I am sure that they have proved that already). Lets go Portland Hawks!!!!

Attendance will probably be better than most people anticipate. Several teams that draw well will be visiting, including the Red Sox and Cubbies. I expect a dropoff, but perhaps only to about 1.4M. Sorry dude, I can't see us breaking a million. If the team we had last year still sucked attendance wise, just guess how bad it will be this year. Well, Miami is the only city in the universe that's all about the winners right? What do you think will happen if this team gets on a hot streak and chugs into the summer in the thick of things? The odds are low, but everyone loves an underdog. Especially an underdog that wins. Yeah, the 03 team was an underdog too. And we averaged 15 thousand a game.

We will most likely get their back up hot dog vendor in return.

Actual attendance will be worse than ever. Reported attendance may not be the worst ever. There will be many nights with 5,000 or less actual people in the stands. I was at a game in 02 where there had to been about 4000 there. You could hear gum being chewed from the players!

Anybody have any idea how bad it is going to be this year? 10,000 in 02, 15 in 03, 22 in 04, and 23 last year. I believe that even if the Marlins will be exciting and put up a fight, we will see those 7 thousand nights more than once. Welcome to S. Florida, home of the worse fans in America.

Look in the mirror are you Marlins fans?...baseball fans? in every team sports tough times occur with every sports fan favorite teams. Ya it s*cks to be a Marlins fan right, your at the bottom of ladder, and everybody is to blame. Everybody is laughing at us. So are going to jump ship? Look I understand the frustration with ownership, but is a deep pocket owner the key to all our money problems? Is Loria the problem? We had 3 owners in the last 8yrs, and the last two with deeper pockets than this one. What happen to them? they jump ship on us. Look I'm not saying everything Loria is saying is the truth, but I know for a fact there are people out there in media and political circles who want the Marlins to leave town...fail.They have made it near impossible to make a deal happen. Right now I have to be a true fan and take Loria word that his tried to make this happen. Are there certain things he's done wrong? YES(ie.. Samson) but what are our options as fans? Well go out and support the team...yeah the name on the front. Because if we don't show up everybody( Loria, politicians, MLB) will have reason to take our Marlins away....that's a fact. I've heard those talkin heads who by the way are loving this, talk about the Marlins going nowhere, that this Marlins ownership trying to bully a stadium out of us....Ok if thats the mindset the team is as good as gone. And then what? wait on another team? Ok 20yrs..30yrs? who then will flip the bill for the stadium? someone will take entire cost. Bottomline is NOBODY here wants the Marlins to leave as piss off as we are, we want baseball to stay. As a sox fan, i'm curious about Motas sudden decline. Was he injured? Was there a drop in velocity? Any info would be appreciated. Mota could not handle the pressure of closer. Lets just inmagine how the Boston media gets to him.....

These prospects that we are recieveing are amazing! I kind of hope that we trade Lo Duca and maybe Juan (but I hope that we keep Luis, he has been with the organization since he was 16) because the Marlin front office is one of the smartest and most creative in the majors! I honestly believe that the Marlins (where ever they will be playing at) will be contenders once again in about 5 years. (which may seem like a long time, but hey, the Cubs have been waiting for about 100 years, we can wait 5)
