She has the right under the first amendment - a right that the military has fought to preserve (though not in Iraq). She has the right to express her opinions, if they differ from yours - why does it make her wrong and not you? In my opinion, disrespecting the memory of her son would be to mention why he wasn't a good person and deserved to die. She didn't do any of this. Instead, she chose to voice her frustrations over policies that she (and many others) don't understand. Would she base her views on the war, which she has every right to do so, if her son were still alive and fighting in Iraq? And why is the area where she is located known as "Camp Casey"? I feel for her. As we all do. I'm sure most of us have friends or family members over there and pray for their safe return. And we all have the right to view our own option on this war. Part of the problem in this mess I guess is the fact that the national media has gotten involved and has given her a national stage to say what she thinks. The other part of the problem though is Sheehan herself. Again, we can say what ever we want in this county, which makes this country so great. But there comes a point when we all know when not to say s***. There's that line that we just don't cross. In my view Sheehan has crossed that line, with the help of the media in using her son's death as a platform to push her ideas about the war,and to basicly give her a pass on anything she says. Even if it doesn't make any sence She has the right to say what ever she wants, but please don't use your son's death as the way to do it. Don't blame other people for you son's death when he's the one that choose to go into the military and knew of the risk involved.

Weapons of Mass Destruction- All I have to say is go to the U.N. web page and look up Iraq and WMD's. http://www.un.org/ I've could go on and on about this subject... In fact i've done so many research papers on this for school that rewrite them in my sleep.... To make this answer short, end of 1st gulf war, Iraq agreed to destroy all WMD's.... Failure to do so would lead to sanctions and use of force if necessary. If you want to read the cease fire agreement between Iraq and the U.N. go for it..... Between the end of the first gulf war which was 1991 through 2002 there were over a dozen violations by Iraq to this cease fire agrement. Again you can read all of the resolutions that the UN put against Iraq during those years by going to the UN's web site and read it for yourself.... What we have done for the first time is allow the Iraqi people to vote for whats best for them rather then have some dictator tell them how to live... Its there right!!!! will it be like having another Iran, I doubt that. Then again, who is to say that will happen... They may choose to have more of a free society. Either way, if you listen to the news and really follow whats going on in re guards to that, you'll see that taking their time and making sure they do it right where all parties will have a say in what happens in that country... 6. Casey and the others that have died during this war died fighting for their country and for what they believed in. Again, this is a volunteer army... There was no draft, no one forced them to go... Though they may have not all agreed with why we went to war, they answered the call of their country. And are making sure that people such as your self don't have to go over there via a draft... Cause if they didn't do it, rest assure, you would be forced to do it when they bring back that draft.. Which by the way will never happen because, people like Casey and myself that have served our country will make sure that people like you won't have to go over there..... Last thing I need, had I gone, would to have someone that didn't want to be there next to me, cause more then likley they would get me killed first before the terrorist could.

I feel sorry for Sheehan that she has lost her son, as well as I feel sorry for all of the family's out there that have lost someone in this war. Hell I almost went and wish I did go... The point is, is that her son made the choice to join the military and knew of the risk that came with the job. He knew that, and all of us that are either in now or were in knew that. My answer is no. You may disagree with me, but consider this.. Her actions in my view not only dishonor her son, but they dishonor myself and anyone else that has served in the military. Most of all she has dishonored her family. By doing what she is doing now, she is breaking up her family just so she can get her point across to the country...
