Same exact team we have seen the previous 4 years dating back to 06. Its not going to change gents, teams dont just all of a sudden start playing like a team that they are not. Thisis what they are, an around .500...maybe even a little over and thats about the extent of it. I dont know what the shock is. There has not been a single upgrade or addition made to this team since Girardi took over in 06. Not a single one, everything is the same if not a little worse because ofthe bullpen. This is what you get

Those Mets teams were only loaded with overpaid vets. The Texas teams didn't have any pitching. What good is the manager then if he cant overcome any of this? People need to stopping putting so much importance into the managers role if they have to have the perfect team to succeed

They are 5th in the NL in runs scored and in the top 10 in all of baseball. Since 2007 they have only been outside the top 5 in runs scored in the NL 1 time and that was in 07...they were 6th. I agree though...its OBVIOUSLY the hitting coaches fault. Keep the insightful observations coming Big Boband Hammy

Im really worried about the chemistry of the team now that the stability Edwin has brought to the table is gone. Edwin gave this team its identity back

You have to give it to this front office, they try through all channels and are smarter than everyone else.

Hey all, so how do you all feel the new manager did tonight? He was managing his pants off out there. Too bad Freddi couldnt have taken the bullpen with him...and Robertson...haha No worries, these guys will become good eventually one day. Maybe 3 or 4 managers from now they will pitch a scoreless inning...haha We have a very good group of players, we are really close to being really good.we have been really close to being really good for 3 years now, we will get there, no need to panic or make any moves to try and improve anymore than we already are.
