Conflict of Interest anyone?

Featured Replies

What would you say if a man who has written for The American Spectator and other ultra conservative outlets was to cover The DNC. Would you think there would be some kind of conflict of interest there or at least a situation that should be avoided?

Well that's Fox News take on the DNC using Brit Hume as their head anchor there, I really can't believe this is fair and balance but anyone want to tell me how it is?

Sounds like perspective to me.

Why is this any worse than say Dan Rather covering the RNC? (which he undoubtedly will be)

What is it about different views that scares you?

The views don't scare me because I wouldn't watch FOX news coverage, I watch Hannity and Colmes sometimes because it shocks me that they can let someone that conservative have his own show.

I'm just tired of hearing about THe Liberal Media Bias and then have Conservatives tell me Fox News is really "fair and balanced" and then they have the equivalent of Al Franken doing The RNC for THe DNC.

You can't honestly say that's fair and balanced. If Lenin wrote a book and called it a fair guide to communism and capitalism. Would you take it seriously as a fair guide? Just answer that for me and then tell me that Fox News is not running a conflict of interest.

If Fox were the ONLY outlet presenting on the DNC, then you might have a point - but they're not.? Ferchrisakes, even Al Jazzera is reporting on the DNC - there's a real non-biased source of news.

I've seen you complain about a bias before or at least comment on it, so I ask you what's your point or the conservative point, if their is other outlets?
