I wrote a poem about the Cubs and Sox

Countries now exist where empires died,

Surviving wars both hot and cold,

Still existing for failure,

Be it a goat or a Bambino,

Championships prove elusive,

Hope seems extinct in its pervasiveness

One hundred and eighty-two years of combined ineptitude,

Yet the fans return in droves,

Lacking what allows the teams to succeed,

?Maybe next year? returns with failure.

I don't care if you like it, it's just to show how nice I am.
