team to the South Florida market. Primetime Media Group announces the launch of

ESPN Radio, which will begin broadcasting on Wednesday, September 1 at 6 a.m.

Airing on 790 AM, the new sports-talk station, dubbed 790 ESPN Radio ?South Florida?s

Ticket,? will combine a rich blend of local and national sports programming 24 hours a

day. Primetime Media Group entered into a local marketing agreement that allows it to

program and sell advertising on 790 AM, a Jefferson-Pilot Communications station.

?South Florida fans will have the best of local sports talk with top home grown

personalities like Joe Rose and Dan Le Batard,? says Joel Feinberg, CEO and president of

Primetime Media, which will operate 790 ESPN Radio. The station?s line-up will focus

on South Florida?s professional and college sports along with the best of ESPN?s national

personalities and events.?

While the programming schedule is still being finalized, 790 ESPN Radio promises

original local programs hosted by some of the most recognizable and respected names in

South Florida sports, including:

? NBC-6 Sports Anchor and former Miami Dolphin Joe Rose will host a daily talk

show featuring live interviews with the biggest names in sports, locally and

? Dan Le Batard, the most controversial, opinionated and widely read sports

columnist for The Miami Herald, will hit the airwaves with a talk show featuring

local and national guests, as well as opinions from sports fans, athletes and, of

In addition, 790 ESPN Radio will feature exclusive insights from South Florida?s top

sports stars like Miami Dolphins All-Pro defensive end Jason Taylor, who will host a

one-hour show each week during football season. Giving the week?s NFL round-up,

Jason will provide on-the-field perspective and an insider?s view of our Miami Dolphins.

According to T. J. Lambert, vice president of sports at ABC/ESPN Radio Network, 790

ESPN Radio?s all-star line up is poised to quickly take a leadership position in the South

Florida sports market. ?The management team of Primetime Media Group and respected

on-air celebrity hosts are a winning formula,? said Lambert. ?We will be watching South

Florida?s success, and anticipate that the format of 790 ESPN Radio will give sports radio

listeners and ESPN fans a listening experience unlike any other.?

The principals of Primetime Media Group, which will operate 790 ESPN Radio, includes

owner Joel Feinberg, CEO and president of Capital Real Estate Group (CREG); CMO

Scott Becher, president of Sports & Sponsorships Inc.; VP of Communications Alan T.

Brown, vice president at rbb Public Relations; CFO Kurt Murphy, vice president of

CREG; and Jon ?Stugotz? Weiner, popular sports radio personality and VP of Primetime

Media Group, will serve as general manager for 790 ESPN Radio.

?This is a business decision that makes perfect sense for all parties,? said Dennis Collins,

senior vice president and general manager of Jefferson-Pilot Communications in South

Florida. ?790 AM?s strong signal that blankets South Florida added to Primetime

Media?s strong local ESPN sports programming can only equal a great success.?

Feinberg, a native to Hollywood, FL, said that combining South Florida?s passion for

sports with America?s favorite source for sports news was an easy decision. According

to Feinberg, ?Starting September 1st, 790 ESPN Radio will be the only place on the dial

that Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties can receive local and national sports

information any time of day. We expect 790 ESPN Radio will dominate the airwaves 24

hours a day.?
