Damion McIntosh also is expected to supplant Wade Smith as the starting left tackle for Sunday's game against visiting Pittsburgh (1-1).

Smith struggled badly against Bengals right defensive end Justin Smith, including one first-quarter play in which he failed to execute quarterback A.J. Feeley's audible at the line of scrimmage.

"[Justin Smith] did a lot more on the outside than what I'd seen on film," said Wade Smith, who has started every game since entering the NFL in 2003. "I have to be better at adjusting as the game progresses. I have to perform better."

The Dolphins believe McIntosh, an offseason free-agent signing from San Diego, has sufficiently recovered from offseason ankle surgery to start against the blitz-happy Steelers. McIntosh was inactive the past two games.

i was wondering the same thing. not only did we use a 1st round pick on him but we traded up for him and this current line is a f***ing disaster. start the man and see what he can do.
