Mabdul Doobakus
So, I'm trying to figure out what package I want to spring for so I don't get stuck watching whatever WFOR deems the best game. Last year, in Durham, I had Time Warner Cable, and I don't what the hell happened, but one day during the tourney we were messing around with the channels and realized we had 3 extra CBS's, and could watch whatever games we wanted. We didn't pay for nothing. This year I have DirecTV, and they too have those special CBS stations but they only work sometimes. Like last Saturday, they had an extra college basketball game on. My question for you people who are long-time DirecTV subscribers...does anyone know if them special CBS stations are active for the tourney? Cause then I don't have to pay for anything. I can't imagine that they are since DirecTV has that $60 package to let you watch any game, but you never know... Also, I know cstv.com has a $20 package that lets you watch any game on your computer. Anyone try this before? I'm a little wary of paying $20 and then having the games come in poorly. Looking for any help I can get here.
jmenjes
The extra games on DirecTV are only during the season. The only way to catch the tourney games not being shown on WFOR is to buy the Mega March Madness package.
Mabdul Doobakus
Hey Mabdul. For some reason i cant post in your thread about march madness tv so here are my tips I personally just like watching good ole WFOR. they usually show the best games on at the time and are pretty good about switching away from a blowout. The stuff on CSTV is awesome though. I had the equivalent of it last year, but this year it is much better. You can show up to 3 games at a time on your screen. In other words, with CBS4 on and your computer on youll have 4 games going at the same time. ONLY do this if youre computer has broadband and if it has the other requirements it says on the site. So, in case anyone else has an interest...that's what FishFan324 PM'ed me.
Mabdul Doobakus
If anyone's interested in the CSTV package, you can get $5 off (so you pay $15), if you access it through here: DBR
