My fantasy football league

Featured Replies

Okay guys I don't do a traditional fantasy football league. In my league I play with one other person. That way it maximizes talent for both sides. And scoring.

Here is how my league works....

You get...

3 QBs

4 RBs

1 FB

3 TEs

6 WRs

3 Defenses (team starting units, ex: Tampa Starting D, Green Bay Starting D, Miami Starting D)

2 Kickers

2 Return Men

5 People on the Practice Squad (can be composed of defenses, whatever you want, any position on the team besides Blockers)

Here is the scoring....

TDs= 6 pts.

Extra Points= 1 pt.

Field Goals= 3 pts.

If your Quarterback throws an interception it counts as NEGATIVE 2 points

If your Starting DEFENSE or OPTION Defense force a turnover (fumble or INT) or sack the QB (the QB of the team your defense is playing) you get PLUS 2 points.

If your starting DEFENSE or OPTION Defense scores a TD its worth 7 pts. If your starting defense or OPTION Defense scores a Safety it counts as Safety therefore you recieve PLUS 2 Points. If they sack the QB in the process add on 2 pts. accordingly.

Yards are determined as so....

EXAMPLES BELOW

ex: If one of your players 105 yds. rush you put a decimal after the first 2 numbers and round. 105 yds.= 10.5 points= 11 pts. total

ex: If one of your players gains 104 yds, decimal after the first 2 numbers and round. 104 yds.= 10.4 pts= 10 pts. total

ex: If one of your players gains 85 yds points go as such...

85 yds.= 8.5= 9 pts. total

ex: If one of your players gains 84 yds points go as such...

84 yrds.= 8.4= 8 pts. total

When starting players each week you can mix and match.

You have to have at least this starting....

1 QB

2 RB/FB

3 WRs/TE

1 Defense

1 KR/PR (kick returner/punt returner)

1 Option Player

Now the Option player is kind of like a 12th man for you. Whatever your option player does, counts towards your weekly total. Your option player could be a QB, RB, FB, TE, WR, Def, K, or KR/PR

I encourage you use the option on a QB or RB seeing as most of your points will come from them, the way I have designed this system.

Also you don't have to use your FB. The way I won my leagues last year was by starting RB in the RB Slot, a RB in the FB slot, and a RB in the option slot.

Which is why you would pick 4 RBs.

That way again maximizes points.

And if your TE's all face tough Pass Defenses this week then start 3 WRs!

Also 2 Kickers are needed because one of them will have a bye week. And after your "main kicker's" BYE week has passed feel free to let the other one go and sign someone to your Practice Squad.

So any questions? And is anyone interested in doing a mini league with me?

I designed the system 5 years ago with friends. And it is a fair system, that helps you to maximize your points and your fun. Usually in a 2 person league the final record will be about 9-8 or 8-9. Because the system maximizes the talent you have making it close.

And I have only won my "main fantasy league" (the league with my best friend) 2 times and he has won 2 times because me and him decided to use the system one year after I originally designed it with him. It is very even and very fun.

But you must be sure to have the stats right when keeping your score! Also make sure that you have your opponents starters to check over their stats and make sure they aren't cheating.

Again any questions? And anyone interested?
