Gordon Edes of Boston Globe, Sox Remain Alive

The article is interestingly enough about Schilling saying he is ready to start soon but at the bottom it talks about the Burnett deal.

In an article this morning by Boston Globes Gordon Edes (had to dig for this), he says the Red Sox remain very much alive in the pursuit of AJ Burnett, contradicting reports in this morning's Herald report about the O's acquiring Burnett as if it was already a done deal.

Couple this with the Sun's report that the O's are slowing down pursuit of Burnett.

Wow a lot of seemingly contradicting info out there, perhaps in an effort to keep everyone guessing.

Couple this with Gammons report that says Burnett really wants to go to Boston, I think Boston will step it up and try to get it done.

I was not too happy with Wakefield's 6th inning last night (two 3 run homers in one inning).

Burnett therfore would be a great addition, still the Sox need Bull Pen help.
