Killer Instinct: Marlins ? Find it!

Featured Replies

Okay, AJ (and the rest of the Marlins), tonight is the time to earn your keep. The Astros are down right now and now is the time to step on their throat and end it. Take tonight?s 3rd game to go up by 2? games and get into the Astros heads mentally, you go into Thursday knowing you can get the sweep and go up by 3?. To me, the mental game is totally different in a 3-1 victory if the Marlins win the first 3 games and lose the last one (aw, just missed a sweep) as opposed to winning the first 2 games, losing the 3rd and winning the 4th (cause in the 4th game you're desperate trying to avoid the split).

Lose tonight, then once again, you?ve let a team back in it, and the Astros will know they?ll get a split Thursday while we?ll revert to the ?be satisfied with a split? and ?take 2 out of 3? mentality that will leave you right back where you started - ? game back (off the Astros), and both teams might be overtaken by the Phillies.

Step 1 ? Finish off Houston

Step 2 ? Get the crosshairs locked in on Atlanta and our first Division Title

90-72* (12-5 the rest of way ? would be nice)

89-73* (11-6 I?m satisfied)

88-74* (10-7 OK, but could do better)

*-All of course, with an accompanying post-season berth
