January 12, 200620 yr University of Miami athletic director Paul Dee will undergo heart surgery in the near future, he said on Thursday. Dee had a mild heart attack in April of 2004 and said it was determined at his last extensive fall checkup that he had valve damage. He said the date of the surgery will be determined soon. UM senior associate athletic director Pete Garcia will be the acting athletic director in Dee's absence. SOURCE
