February 23, 200620 yr Its goona be weird going to a Queen concert and not seeing freddy singing but i've heard P.Rogers in doing a helluva job so i got tickets to it.....
February 23, 200620 yr Without Freddy Mercury, it's pretty much like going to see a Queen cover band. I realize that the original band members are still there, but any group of halfway decent musicians could + Paul Rodgers could put on the same performance. Not saying it won't be fun to check out. I'm just saying it's kind of a joke to call it Queen.

They got Paul Rodgers for the frontman ability and not for his voice, and unfortunately his voice sounds nothing like Freddie's. It sounds like Bad Company Sings Queen's Greatest Hits. Ben Elton from the musical We Will Rock You is pretty close in voice, if he was singing I'd go. Or the lead singer from Styx...he's pretty close. But I can't tolerate hearing their songs sung by a COMPLETELY different voice. I almost cried when I heard the CD.
