September 8, 200322 yr I may be making a visit to watch the Marlins hopefully clinch the wild card. I've looked into it and I think I have enough money and time to visit from the 21st (Dolphins-Buffalo game) to 25th. Or 25th to 28th if someone can recommend a nice synagogue to spend Rosh Hashanah in. Problem is lodging. There are hostels in Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale atleast 20-30 miles away from the stadium. I don't know much about South Florida but I've gathered from the news reports about a new stadium that Joe Robbie / Pro Player is a bit difficult to get to. Is it really hard? Is there reliable public transit? Would it be best to come from Miami Beach or Lauderdale? Would you even recommend visiting during hurricane season? Would it be safer than say going to Philadelphia and rooting for the Marlins next week?
