Trip to see Carolina.....

Featured Replies

I'm planning on going to see the Mudcats at some point but I think we should organize it with a bunch of us. I'd like to know from people who've gone to see the Mudcats what the stadium is like and the area if it's in a ghetto or something.....It's 2.5 hours from Richmond for me....

If you want to go, post when you can go and maybe we'll make it a weekend or something

Also, Greensboro is only 3.5 hours for me....Information about that place is nice too

Thanks

Greensboro is the perfect place to watch a game . Its a new stadium that consistently gets a big crowd. All our top pitching prospects are there as well. There are also hotels all around the stadium area.

The Mudcats stadium is old. Gravel parking lots etc. The team actually stays in Raleigh, about 30 minutes away.

I assume it's easy to get tix to both???? Are either in a ghetto of sorts???

Any place is an improvement over Richmond, so I'm not sure what you're worried about.

It's always real easy to get tickets. For the Grasshoppers you can pick out the seats you want to sit in online which is pretty cool. And like I said last night, First Horizon Park is right next to downtown which is a pretty good part of town. It's a great stadium and great place to see a baseball game. Plus it really can't get any better than going to a baseball game for 6-9 dollars and sitting a few rows back

Tentively looking at the last weekend in June.....23,24,25 for the trip.......if there's interest among the natives.

I made the trip to see the Mudcats last year. Zebulon is a pretty nice little area... There's just absolutely nothing there.... so its not ghetto... Stadium wasn't too impressive at all... They extend the net that usually just protects the people sitting behind the plate all the way around the stadium and beyond the 1st and 3rd base... that was definitely the worst part.... was still a great experience though... mudcats go to jacksonville next week and anibal should pitch on monday.... so illgo see them there
