April 29, 200620 yr From NASCAR.com Truex honors Earnhardt with Talladega victory NASCAR.COM April 29, 2006 05:27 PM EDT (21:27 GMT) Martin Truex Jr. blocked a final surge by Kevin Harvick as the two-time defending Busch Series champion won the Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday. Truex, making his first Busch start of the season, has won all three races at Talladega in which he has completed in the series. Driving for Dale Earnhardt Inc., Truex celebrated by holding 3 fingers in the air. April 29 is Dale Earnhardt's birthday. Kyle Busch was third, Brian Vickers fourth and Clint Bowyer finished fifth. Tony Stewart was involved in the scariest crash of the day. Stewart, who had led 25 laps, got in front of Kenny Wallace and bumped. Stewart's car flipped into the air and landed on its side. It was then hit by Danny O'Quinn Jr. and finally slid to a stop upside down. Stewart, who took responsibility for the collision, was walked under his own power to the infield care center, where he was treated and released. Video of the wreck is here.
