Team folds night of Playoff Game

The Richmond Bandits of the American Indoor Football League (AIFL) will not be participating in the playoffs for the 2006 season.

The American Indoor Football League and the Richmond Bandits did not agree on an issue concerning the team.

The Richmond Bandits will no longer be a member of the AIFL.

The Bandits would like to thanks all fans and sponsors for their support of the team through the two years in Richmond.

We would also like to thanks the Richmond Coliseum and the City of Richmond for being such gracious hosts during our time here.

All fans that have purchased tickets to the June 19th game will receive a full refund for the game. Refunds will be given at the original points of purchase.

The Bandits apparently folded and the team that was playing them was on their way and had to turn around. Apparently this was over the coach not sending game films to the opponent and got fined $3K and the owner of the team refused to pay the fine and the league made them fold.
