August 28, 200619 yr The Georgia Little League team received a motivational pep talk Sunday morning from Columbus, Ga., native Reggie Abercrombie. The Columbus-based Little League squad is playing Japan in the Little League World Series title game Sunday afternoon. At 10:30 a.m., Abercrombie went on a conference call with the team. "I told them, 'Stay positive,'" Abercrombie said. "'And win, lose or draw, we're still proud of you. Everybody in Columbus is proud of you.' "This is a big thing in Columbus. I'm proud of them just for making it this far." The Little Leaguers asked Abercrombie what it felt like to belt a 493-foot home run in Cincinnati in April. Although Abercrombie didn't play Little League ball in Columbus -- he was in youth football leagues -- he plans on making a contribution to the baseball program. "We're going to do something for them, something big for them," Abercrombie said. Even the kids realize this is his going to be his best highlight ever.
