Hermida

Featured Replies

For all the talk about the bullpen and centerfield, Hermida really is the key.

He needs to get going big time, .164/.274/.219 for August is about the only bleak spot on this team.

Thoughts?

I'm wondering if maybe they should start sitting him on a regular basis against lefties. I'm not sure if Ross/Hermida is the solution, but it would be nice if we started to get consistent production out of RF for the rest of the season.

If Hermida starts getting hot though, watch out.

Yeah, that's my thinking.

A hot Hermida > anything we'd acquire.

the talent is there, I think we will see a much better Hermida in September

My concerns is that he was taking his slump on the field, and the Defense was lacking. We can't afford that down the stretch

I looked at his numbers a couple of days ago and yours didn't look right. These are his August numbers:

.164 .274 .219 .493

We don't really have any better options so I guess you stick with him and hope..

Yeha, .341/.378 are his season stats, looked too fast.

It would be great if he had another strong September. There are some signs he might break out and have a good September. Since August 20, he is hitting .280. Plus he seems to be showing more patience at the plate lately.
