October 1, 200719 yr So I bought an '86 QT50 from a co-worker and I love it. The only issue is that I want it to go just a bit faster. Right now, it maxed at around 32 on a straightaway and barely hits 25 on an upslope. In Tally it's not hard to get around close to campus at those speeds, but sometimes I do have to take major roads for a few blocks to get to where I need to go. I'd love to upgrade the engine to get the bike up to 40 (that would be clutch) and I know that requires boring to fit bigger pistons. I need a Yamaha TY60 (Trizinger) cylinder, pistons, rings, heads in order to do this upgrade (I'm not the most engine savy person so I could be wrong). I was just wondering if any of you knew good websites that I could find such pieces for sale (maybe auction sites?). ANY help is appreciated, thanks!
