The Harlem Globetrotters are in town to take on the Washington Generals this afternoon at the Heat's bayside arena.

 

There is a Marlins tie-in, with baseball club president David Samson serving as a guest coach for the Generals. Let's just hope he's better at guest-coaching than he has been at new-stadium accomplishing.

 

The Generals last beat the Globetrotters in 1971, by the way. Seriously. The team has since been in a 39-year losing streak to the famed Harlem team, beaten now in more than 12,800 games in a row.

 

Can you imagine such haplessness and unabated losing?
