Non-tendering?

Featured Replies

Ok, I hope I can get some sort of explanation on this area of GM negotiations. When is a player eligible for arbitration, and if the GM tenders a contract (hee hee tender, it's a funny word) is it just for one year? Or do you non-tender but still go to arbitration? I'm mentioning it because I heard it was an option for Beinfest to non-tender Derrek Lee.

non tender means he becomes a free agent

tendering a contract is offering a new one, either before or after arby

i think im right....
